A rapidly expanding North Wales financial services company is setting course for continued growth as it takes a new director to its helm.
St Asaph-based Compass Financial has recruited retirement planning specialist Ian Carter to swell its leadership team.
Mr Carter, who is transferring from one of the North West’s largest independent financial advisor (IFA) companies, will join Compass Financial’s founders Adam Stubbings and John Bowden as a joint share-holder.
Mr Stubbings said: “This is a very exciting time for Compass. In the last two years we have grown steadily through word of mouth referrals and offering our own brand of straight forward advice and a simple fee structure. However, that growth means that we needed another safe pair of hands to join myself and John.
“Having worked with Ian previously I know I can trust him to work with our current and future clients in their very best interests.”
Set up in 2009, Compass Financial has shown steady growth. Last year it moved from Colwyn Bay to larger offices on the St Asaph Business Park.
The company’s emphasis on building long term relationships with its clients has seen it become a leader in its field. Currently the company sits as one of nine firms on the advisory panel of a major UK,1000-strong, group of financial advisers.
Mr Carter said he was delighted to be joining Compass at a key point in the company’s growth. “This is an important time not only for Compass, but for the financial services industry as a whole. The whole landscape of financial advice is changing. Many people don’t really know where to turn and who they can trust. Partner John Bowden, who specialises in mortgage planning, explained the key principles behind Compass’ growth.
