Kestrel and Lidget Compton cement a new deal

The familiar concrete garage is getting a fresh new look thanks to the combined efforts of a PVC-U and PVC-UE building products manufacturer Kestrel and concrete building manufacturer Lidget Compton.

This May will see a new style of wall finish – the DFE270 (Double – Feather Edged Cladding), giving Lidget Compton’s concrete buildings even more kerb appeal.

The cladding, produced by Kestrel, can be used on a number of sectional concrete buildings from garages to sheds, garden rooms to home offices.

It is available in a range of colours including white, grey, sand, cream, light blue and green.

Kestrel marketing director Simon Reynolds said: “As the UK’s leading manufacturer of prefab concrete buildings, Lidget Compton has earned an enviable reputation for quality. The DFE270 cladding is the perfect product for their buildings, offering even greater customer choice to an already extensive range.

“Thanks to Carl Dent, branch director of Scotplas, Rotherham, who supplied the product on Kestrel’s behalf.”

Richard Berry, Lidget Compton’s marketing manager explained the new cladding finish aims to widen customer appeal.

“Not everyone likes prefab sectional buildings,” he said. “Customers who don’t particularly want a timber or metal garage or shed, but also don’t like the look of a traditional concrete garage, can now get the strength and durability of a sturdy concrete building, but with an attractive cladding finish that blends in with the environment they wish to locate it in.

“We like the product as it looks good – the finished building looks superb – the colour options also give us something we haven’t had before and it is going to give us the opportunity to target a different customer profile,” Richard added.

“As the UK market leader in concrete sectional buildings we pride ourselves on having the largest range of products, accessories and optional extras in the UK, the DFE270 cladding will help us cement this position further.”

Lidget Compton is currently promoting the cladding finished buildings.
