Graeme brings a wealth of experience for Kestrel in Scotland and Ireland

Leading PVC-U and PVC-UE manufacturer Kestrel has appointed a new business development manager in Scotland and Ireland.

Graeme MacQueen, who has worked in building product sales for more than two decades and has an extensive knowledge of the roofing and timber market, brings a wealth of experience to the new role

Stirling-born Graeme has been appointed to promote Kestrel’s high quality roofline products to suppliers and installers in Scotland and Ireland.

He is looking forward to working with established clients in the regions as well as offering Kestrel products to new clients.

Graeme said: “I’m really looking forward to getting out and meeting clients. I’ve worked in the industry for many years and, having done this for so long, I’ve come across most situations.

“One of my strengths is developing new products – there are a number of products out there that are around because I’ve instigated them.

“Kestrel is known as the name to go to for specific product development, so that is something I’m particularly keen to look at, along with marketing existing Kestrel products which might suit a clients need.”

Kestrel marketing director Simon Reynolds welcomed Graeme’s appointment.

He said: “Graeme will be an asset to the company’s sales team because of his professional approach to doing his job, he not only has good product knowledge but having previously worked in management he brings excellent experience to the post

Simon added Graeme also has experience of promoting to contractors, builders and timber framed housing manufacturers.

Lincolnshire-based Kestrel works in partnership with its customers to offer one of the widest product ranges in the market place.

With the latest trend for coloured windows, Kestrel has invested heavily in the development of a new range of coloured roofline products to match.

The company is currently investing heavily in a new warehouse facility next to their Scunthorpe factory as well as investment in a fully integrated IT system and new manufacturing tools.

As well as investment in its products, in response to the government’s Green Deal the company recently announced continuing developments to the training programme it offers to its registered installers.

They will now be able to undertake a full NVQ Apprenticeship through Kestrel’s partnership with Neil Whitfield Training.
