Rhyl Work Placement Candidate Keeps DVSC’s B2C Project Team in Ship-shape

THE benefits of offering work experience placements are being highlighted by North Wales-based project Business Supporting Communities (B2C).

As well as providing that person with valuable experience for their future career, a work placement can also provide businesses with some useful additional help.

B2C themselves have recently taken on Hannah Kubler in a placement at their Denbighshire office.

Hannah has joined the B2C team to provide some much needed admin support.

Preparing for conferences, handling mail-outs and typing are Hannah’s main responsibilities, providing support, as well as a fresh perspective for the B2C project staff.

Hannah’s passionate about administration and her work placement with B2C is helping her gain experience within a busy and bustling office environment.

Having recently started a European Computer Driving License (ECDL) course Hannah is thriving on the opportunity to put her new IT skills in to practice.

Hannah secured her placement with the support of Denbighshire’s Job Finding Team who approached B2C on Hannah’s behalf.

B2C were quick to recognise Hannah’s potential and tap in to her enthusiasm.

Hannah said “I’ve really enjoyed my work placement with B2C.

“As well as improving my admin skills I’ve got to meet lots of new people and this has increased my self-confidence, and made me realise I can work”.

As well as taking on work placement candidates directly B2C encourages businesses to do the same, working in collaboration with other voluntary organisations and employment support initiatives.

Hannah commented: “I would say to any business thinking of offering a work placement that it can make a huge difference to someone’s life just to be given a chance!”
